Your adventure begins in the morning with a comfortable hotel pick-up and transfer to Nungwi Village in northern Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, begin your guided village tour and explore this lively traditional fishing community. Walk through the village and interact with friendly local residents while learning about their daily lives, culture, and traditions.
Continue to a local women's group where you can see traditional raffia palm products such as baskets, mats, and fans being crafted. This provides an opportunity to learn about local skills while supporting community-based activities.
Next, visit the Nungwi Natural Turtle Aquarium, where rescued sea turtles are cared for and protected by the local community. Your guide will explain the importance of marine conservation and the efforts made to protect these beautiful creatures.
Continue to the traditional boat-building yard, where skilled local craftsmen build wooden dhows used for fishing, snorkeling, diving, and other activities around Zanzibar.
After exploring Nungwi and enjoying time for lunch or refreshments at your own expense, prepare for the highlight of the afternoon — a traditional sunset dhow cruise.
At approximately 4:45 PM, board a traditional wooden dhow from Nungwi Beach and sail along the northern coastline. Enjoy the peaceful ocean atmosphere, panoramic views, and stunning scenery as the sun gradually sets over the Indian Ocean.
The cruise ends at approximately 6:30 PM, after which you'll return to shore and begin your comfortable transfer back to your hotel.
